Wear one to show your support, and make sure to tell everyone that asks that the green ribbon stands for organ, tissue and eye donation awareness.
You can also:
1) make the ribbons at home,
2) suggest the ribbon-making project as a service project for others, or
3) get involved in distributing the ribbons in businesses state-wide.
Share Your Story
One of the best ways to educate others on the importance of organ & tissue donation is to share your personal story on how donation and/or transplantation has touched your life. Stories can be shared in classrooms, business settings, churches or with civic groups.
Community Events, Health Fairs and Expo's
We have the ability to reach thousands of people at community events, health fairs and expo's. These events usually entail spending a few hours at an informational table talking story with those who visit the booth and telling them about organ & tissue donation.
There is so much that goes on behind the scenes of our organization, and you can be a part of it too! We're always looking for volunteers who can come in and help with mailings or to help prepare our educational materials that we share with the community.
Join the DMV outreach team to service our DMV's around the State. At the DMV is where people make the decision to check the box to become an organ/tissdue donor. We set up an information table at the DMV and you can also,
Adopt a DMV – by taking time to visit your local DMV Branch and make sure they're stocked up on educational materials.
